Affiliate Program Terms of Service
Last updated: May 25, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your participation in the Plugins for WordPress Affiliate Program ("Program"). By creating an affiliate account, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.
1. Program Overview
Plugins for WordPress operates an affiliate program that allows approved participants ("Affiliates") to earn commissions by referring customers to https://www.plugins-for-wp.com ("Site"). Commissions are earned when a referred visitor completes a qualifying purchase through the Affiliate's unique referral link or coupon code.
2. Enrollment and Account
Enrollment in the Program is open to all applicants and accounts are approved automatically upon registration. You must provide accurate and complete information during signup, including a valid PayPal email address for commission payments. Your email address serves as your login username. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Plugins for WordPress reserves the right to verify any information provided and to reject or terminate any account at its sole discretion.
3. Trial Period and Minimum Activity Requirements
All new affiliate accounts are subject to a two-phase trial period designed as a baseline quality check. In Phase 1, you must generate at least 10 unique clicks within your first 7 days. In Phase 2, you must generate at least 1 qualifying conversion (completed sale) within 90 days of registration. These thresholds exist to confirm you are on the right path — they are not difficult to meet if your promotion strategy is working. If you do not meet them, your account will be automatically deactivated, but this is not a permanent decision. You may request reinstatement at any time by submitting a support ticket, and reinstatement requests are almost always granted. Upon reinstatement, a new trial period begins. Once your first qualifying conversion is recorded, your account becomes permanent and is no longer subject to any trial requirements.
4. Commission Structure
The Program uses a tiered commission structure based on the total gross sales you generate for Plugins for WordPress (the full order amount, not your commission). All new Affiliates start at Level 1 (50%). At $5,000 in gross sales, you are automatically upgraded to Level 2 (70%). At $20,000 in gross sales, you are upgraded to Level 3 (85%). Tier upgrades are checked daily and applied automatically. Plugins for WordPress reserves the right to change commission rates, tiers, or thresholds at any time with or without notice.
5. Coupon Codes
Affiliates may create up to 10 custom coupon codes through their dashboard. Coupon codes are limited to a maximum discount of 50%. All coupon-driven sales are tracked and attributed to the creating Affiliate. Coupon codes must not be misleading. Plugins for WordPress reserves the right to deactivate any coupon code at any time.
6. Cookie and Tracking
When a visitor clicks your affiliate link, a tracking cookie is placed in their browser for a period of one (1) year (365 days). If the visitor completes a purchase within this window, the sale is attributed to you. All clicks are tracked as unique clicks — only one click per unique IP address per affiliate per 24-hour period is counted. If a customer uses a coupon code associated with your account, the sale is attributed to you regardless of cookie status. In the event that both a cookie and a different affiliate's coupon code are present, the coupon code takes priority.
7. Payment Terms
All commission payments are made exclusively via PayPal. No other payment methods are available. Payouts are processed automatically on a one-week delay from when the commission is earned. There is a minimum payout threshold that must be met before a payment is issued. You are responsible for ensuring your PayPal email address on file is accurate and active. Plugins for WordPress is not responsible for payments sent to an incorrect PayPal address provided by the Affiliate.
8. Refund Policy and Commission Integrity
Commissions are paid on completed sales. Once a commission has been earned and paid out, it is not subject to clawback in the event of a customer refund. However, if Plugins for WordPress determines that an Affiliate is generating an excessive or suspicious volume of refund requests, this constitutes grounds for immediate account termination, including withholding unpaid commissions.
9. Prohibited Conduct
As an Affiliate, you agree that you will NOT:
- Engage in misleading, deceptive, or false advertising of any kind.
- Make false claims about product features, capabilities, pricing, or guarantees.
- Use spam, unsolicited bulk email, or any form of unsolicited messaging.
- Bid on Plugins for WordPress brand names in paid search advertising without prior written approval.
- Use cookie stuffing, click fraud, forced clicks, pop-unders, or other deceptive techniques.
- Self-refer or purchase through your own affiliate link or coupon code.
- Create websites or profiles that impersonate Plugins for WordPress.
- Offer unauthorized incentives, cashback, or rebates.
- Distribute coupon codes on unauthorized coupon aggregator sites.
- Engage in any activity that damages the reputation or business of Plugins for WordPress.
10. Termination
Plugins for WordPress reserves the right to terminate any affiliate account at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. Upon termination, any unpaid commissions earned in good faith will be paid out per the normal schedule, unless the termination was due to fraud or violation of these Terms.
11. Intellectual Property
Plugins for WordPress grants Affiliates a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use approved marketing materials solely for promoting products through the Program.
12. Limitation of Liability
Plugins for WordPress shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your participation in the Program. Total liability shall not exceed the total commissions paid to the Affiliate in the 90 days preceding any claim.
13. Modifications
Plugins for WordPress reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued participation after modifications constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Wayne County, Michigan.
